The best way to go to Koh Tao is the Lomprayah High Speed Catamaran Ferreyboat starting in the morning. If arriving late, you can take the Night Slow Boat starting 11 p.m. from Chumphon (but quite cold on December or January), arriving 6 a.m. at Koh Tao (200 Baht), or the Ekawin High Speed Ferreyboat, starting 7.30 a.m. outside Chumphon at the river bridge, arriving 9.20 a.m. (400 Baht). Ekawin has two guesthouses in Chumphon, where passengers arriving in the evening or at night can sleep for free till next morning. From Koh Samui there is also the Lomprayah Catamaran connecting Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao and Chumphon. The transfer from Koh Tao pier to Hin-Wong Bay can be done by pickup-offroad-taxi (100 Baht). If not finding one at the pier after arrival just phone Joe and he will arrange one for you. You can also take a motorcycle-taxi as far as possible (50 Bath) and have 45 minutes hard walk over the mountain. In the moment 1 Dollar US = 33 Baht / 1 Euro = 50 Baht.

The "Greentree" bungalow for two persons is 120 - 150 (collective shower and WC), or about 250 Baht with shower and WC inside. The wonderful sunrises, the many colourful fish in the bay and Noi's excellent Thai cooking will make you enjoy the quietness you will have here. Hinwongbay offers best snorkelling possibilities, and scuba diving can be organized as well.
